AveDesk is an original tool that makes it possible to have icons on your desktop that automatically update.
In reality each icon is a `desklet´, in other words a plug-in that can do almost any task (it can be a shortcut, a calendar, an email checker, a clock, etc).
The AveDesk user has a load of configurable options (both for functionality and appearance) for each desklet: alpha levels, greyscale, shading, and much more.
